Sonrisa is proud of its partnership with ENERGY STAR®, a government-backed program for energy efficiency.
Homes earning the ENERGY STAR label are typically 30% more energy efficient than standard homes and JD Pierce Homes plans to exceed current California Title 24 energy efficiency standards by an additional 15%.
Sonrisa has received the ENERGY STAR label thanks to a variety of steps taken by JD Pierce Homes during construction, including increasing insulation, installing high-performance Low E glass windows and energy efficient heating and cooling equipment, as well as inspecting for tight ducts to eliminate drafts and moisture.
The ENERGY STAR steps taken by JD Pierce Homes will not only help Sonrisa homeowners save money on utility bills and home maintenance costs, but will also help their new homes to be more comfortable and quiet, while creating a cleaner environment for the future. Each Sonrisa homeowner will receive a certificate to verify the home ’s ENERGY STAR status (verified through an independent third-party), along with its individual ENERGY STAR score, which can help with future re-sale value.
